Well I must say that I have missed being able to do what I love which is submit work here and check out the work my DA Friends do.

It has been such a busy time for me these past 6 months. Our son joined the Marine Reserves, my parents moved from my home town in NC to MO and parenting all that good stuff. However I have kept at my photography, even doing my daughters Senior Portraits which were so much fun.

I hope to get back into my work here on DA so I may continue to grow in a hobby I have grown to love.

Ok so I am getting very close to having 3,000 views of my gallery. What is great I have been able to do this without having a membership although that is a Christmas wish of mine.

Any way what I want to try to do is have a contest. The wonderful visitor or maybe first two vistors who help me hit 3K I will have a Journal Entry with my favorites from their . This will be my thank you to everyone here who has helped make my love of photography grow.

Gosh summer is just going way too fast. So wow!!!

I have been busy at work it is a very active time with the Coast Guard members pay.
What has been great I have been able to continue with my "drive by" photography (for those who don't know me sometimes on my drive (35 mins) into work and from work I take photos). A added pleasure is that the flowers seem to always be open and beautiful this time of year due to the humidity and rain. The weather here in Kansas is so unpredictable so I always seem to have a new canvas of nature to photograph. I just hope I have time to put them up here and keep up with my new clubs..WOW!!

My most recent club is and just submitted a request to join club.

Also to everyone I am gradually heading toward 3K views. If I can get my membership before then I may set up as Feature for my 3K visitor.
