Yeppie I am so excited!!

I must say the weather where I live in the middle of the USA, KANSAS has not been boring. Thing is I love the unpredictability of the weather.
I find it it almost romantic and hypnotizing on some days. As some you can tell when you browse through my Gallery. As a "photographer" I guess that is what I can call myself, the weather here gives me so very much to photographic I almost get lost in my "work".
Any way I am very excited today because I have been looking into more clubs lately such as I have been using the to find some really great clubs.
Now I just need to work on being able to link them in my Journal so you guys can check them out too. Found clubs like, and

I am also looking into finally getting a subscription to deviantart I guess I have just felt I am no where near the quality photographer of some of my fellow deviants and just decided not to subscribe. Well I think I am ready problem is I just hope I can utilize my site a well as other do once I become a subscriber.

Well as you can tell by my photos or the lack there of I have been absent for sometime. For the past few months I have been working 50 hour weeks and also thawing out from a very long winter here in the mid-west.

I am always taking photos of course family things and events. Plus there are the winter photos I have taken. However, now I feel just like the flowers in my photos like I have opened up to a new sun, a new day and a brand new season.

It is good to be back, I have already submitted a photo to a contest so I am up and o the move. Please if you look at photos give me critiques and pointers on how to improve. I do not do a lot of photo manipulation I am just a little old fashioned and a little to poor.

Well I have been very busy lately but not too busy to submit new photos. Yet too busy to write a new journal. So here it is short and sweet because of time. However I want to make sure I say thank you to everyone who has been to my site and been open with comments. Comments that have helped, I think, in improving my work.

Well Santa was very nice to me this year. I got a new camera that I wished for the Cannon Rebel XTi (Digitial) with new lens and everything. I love it but it is going to take me forever to really learn how to make it do what I need it to do.

Any way we have survived an Ice Storm here in the so called flat Kansas, power was out for 6 days, lost all our food in frig and freezer. However, we are better off than most. We had to go stay with my son and his wife in Kansas City. Missed getting our Christmas tree up until day before Christmas.

So now I will be putting new pictures up and maybe you will see the difference. This will be fun and I hope anyone viewing my pics will critique them for me.
